American game developer Mark "Messhof" Essen is following up on the success of his first independent video game release Nidhogg, launching Flywrench this month on both Mac and PC. Like the project collaboration that took place with Nidhogg, Mark Essen has enlisted the talents of Brainfeeder artist and Magical Properties label-head Daedelus for the curation of the Flywrench music score. Adding original content, Daedelus has pulled music from an impressive list of electronic artists that includes Baths, Sweatson Klank, Dntel, Syndakit, Knife City, Om Unit, Goodnight Cody, Danny Scrilla, Kuh Lida and Mark Redito.
The uptempo and immersive music found on the Flywrench soundtrack is the perfect compliment to the mission of Flywrench: piloting an aerobatic ship through the depths of space. '80's style pixelated environments have never looked or felt better in the 21st century and Daedelus has laced up the perfect soundtrack experience for Essen. Daedelus had the following the say about the release of the Flywrench OST this week, "The prompt was uptempo breaks to underscore the twists and turns needed in game. I'm so honored to have assembled an incredible collection of artists that took on this challenge with aplomb."
